About the Opportunity

We’re partnering with a leading organisation specialising in data centre and mission-critical infrastructure to recruit an experienced ICT Project Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of physical ICT infrastructure projects across live operational environments where quality, safety and operational resilience are critical.

Working alongside experienced engineering teams, specialist subcontractors and key client stakeholders, you’ll take ownership of projects from initial survey through to commissioning and final handover. Typical projects include structured cabling, rack deployments, network infrastructure, white space fit-outs and critical technology installations.

The Role

As ICT Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple ICT infrastructure projects within live data centre environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing ICT infrastructure projects from survey and planning through to commissioning and client handover.
  • Producing and managing project programmes, milestones and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinating internal engineering teams, specialist subcontractors and installation partners.
  • Monitoring project progress against programme, budget and quality objectives.
  • Managing project documentation throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Chairing project meetings with clients, contractors and technical stakeholders.
  • Coordinating project resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Health, Safety & Commercial Responsibilities

You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely and compliantly by:

  • Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Reviewing and approving RAMS and coordinating permits to work.
  • Managing project risk registers and undertaking regular site inspections.
  • Maintaining project documentation for audit and client compliance.
  • Producing project cost forecasts and monitoring commercial performance.
  • Managing project variations and subcontractor costs.
  • Supporting procurement activities, tender submissions and progress reporting.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project delivery while building long-term stakeholder relationships.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced ICT Project Manager with a background in delivering projects within data centres, critical infrastructure or similar technically demanding environments.

You’ll ideally have experience with:

  • ICT Project Management within Data Centres or Critical Environments.
  • Structured Cabling projects.
  • Fibre & Copper Infrastructure.
  • White Space Deployments.
  • Rack & Cabinet Installations.
  • ICT Infrastructure Delivery.
  • Client-facing Project Management.
  • Programme Management.
  • Commercial and subcontractor management.

Experience within live financial services environments, enterprise data centres, network infrastructure or technology refresh programmes would be advantageous.

Technical Knowledge

A strong understanding of one or more of the following is desirable:

  • Structured Cabling Standards

  • Network Cabinets & Rack Integration

  • Patching Standards

Qualifications

Ideally you’ll hold one or more of the following:

  • PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM or PMP qualification.
  • SMSTS.
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • CSCS Card.
  • CDM Awareness training.
